Cormidi UK set to expand and dominate compact dumper market.

The launch of the purpose-built 6.50 High-Tip tracked compact dumper at this year's SED clearly signalled to customers and competitors alike, that Cormidi UK has its sights set on dominating the UK compact dumper market.

Cormidi UK set to expand and dominate the compact dumper marketAlmost 40 of these machines have been sold in the last three months and is one of the major reasons why UK sales have doubled since last year. The 6.50 High-Tip has also been chosen by Hire Centre and is being introduced into the hirer's vast depot network. But perhaps the most important reason is that Italian manufacturer - Cormidi SRL - led by Armando Cormidi, is totally focussed on producing a range of highly innovative compact machines and is happy to draw on the experience and input of its UK importer.

This help and guidance from the vastly experienced Cormidi UK management team, working in tandem with the Italian designers over the past two years, has resulted in a global range of dumpers, but developed to exact UK specifications and requirements.

"We have been working very closely with the manufacturer and designers imparting our marketing and engineering skills to combine with their design and manufacturing ability to produce a range of purpose-built, compact machines that have class-leading specifications, features and performance required to succeed in the UK market," said Keith Bradbury, managing director of Cormidi UK.
"Cormidi UK is totally focussed on tracked compact dumpers and it not selling a mish-mash of unrelated products and services. We now have a range of high quality, purpose-built machines with capacities from 500-1800kg, with standard or high-tip configuration and the best optional self-loader on the market for the 10.65 model." He continued: "All Cormidi machines use an undercarriage specifically designed for the load-carrying dumper. They do not 'make do' with a readily available but unsuitable excavator undercarriages."

With a capacity of 500kg and a loadover height of 1350mm, the Cormidi 6.50 High-Tip can fit through a 690mm doorway or opening allowing it to operate in the most confined and inaccessible areas.

The 6.50 High-Tip features the latest compact equipment design including a clever high tip mechanism that folds into the chassis. The upper structure is engineered from high-quality Swedish steel and the long-life undercarriage features solid steel rocking rollers. Cormidi also designs and manufacturers its own sprockets and imports it's own rubber tracks, guaranteeing quality. Engine options include the 6.5 hp Honda petrol or 7.0 hp Yanmar diesel power units.

The final piece of the jigsaw for Cormidi UK is its dealer network. Its longest serving and most successful dealer Plant and Engineering Services covering the south west has been joined by Chippindales in Yorkshire, PPS in the north west and north Wales, Kattrak in Scotland. Very recently Oswald Record in the Birmingham and Shropshire area and Arrow Plant in Hereford and Worcester have been appointed.
"We are progressively growing our dealer network but unless we find the right dealer, we will continue to sell direct in areas such as London, East Midlands, Thames Valley and parts of Scotland," said Mr Bradbury.

Cormidi SRL is a progressive company and there is a lot of research and development currently taking place. A new mini loader line called Rikishi - the Japanese word for a Sumo wrestler or strong man - is already being tested in Japan. Initially the three model range will consist of the Rikishi 7.0, a loader version of the 6.50 High-Tip; the Rikishi 10.0 a loader version of the 65 series machine and the Rikishi 12..0 - the loader version of the new V-twin 18hp Yanmar powered 1200kg tracked dumper currently being developed.
